Kathleen Freeman Spirit Award
|
Each year the Donna Reed Workshop instructors nominate one student to
receive the Kathleen Freeman Spirit Award. Ms. Freeman (1923-2001), star of
stage, television and screen, was a favorite acting and comedy instructor at
the Donna Reed Workshops. Students are nominated based on Kathleen's unique
personality and work ethic. Commitment. Passion. Willingness to try
anything. Unfailing aid to fellow performers. High energy. Good humor.
Eagerness. This award is for more than talent or appearance. It is for
that special quality that defines the performing artist's mentality.
