An accomplished performer of international stature, Zina displays an amazing versatility as a dancer, actress, choreographer, and singer. She began her ballet training at age six with the prestigious School of American Ballet, and has performed with the New York City Ballet, The Royal Danish Ballet, and San Francisco Ballet Theatre. Her critically acclaimed performances include Swan Lake, Romeo & Juliet, Don Quixote, and Sleeping Beauty. Zina starred in the prime time television series, The Nurses. She also starred in Martin Scorcese's feature film, Who's That Knocking At My Door, with Harvey Keitel. Zina's Broadway work includes a starring role as Greta Garbo in Tommy Tune's Grand Hotel. She has also directed or choreographed over 50 plays, films, videos, and ballets. A pioneer in the area of dance for mentally and physically challenged children, Zina formalized a Dance Outreach program in 1982, currently serving over 1,000 disabled children. Currently, Zina is the Artistic Director of Bethune Theatredanse, a multimedia dance company.
