Born in Washington, D.C., William received his Bachelor's Degree in
Drama at Catholic University and his Master's Degree at American University.
He first appeared on All My Children as Detective Derek Frye in
July, 1990, and three months later, became a regular on the program. In
1991, William was nominated for a Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting
Actor in a Drama Series, and was twice nominated for the NAACP Image Award
for his role on All My Children. William has been twice nominated
for an Emmy as host of It's Elementary. William has also appeared
in numerous plays throughout the country and New York City, including Them
That's Got, St. Joan, The Winter's Tale, American
Voices, The Member of the Wedding, and Black Eagles.
His credits also include The January Man, The Cosby Show,
Matlock, Tattinger's, and Another World.
