Stu Phillips is a noted composer, conductor, and arranger who has conducted
music for approximately 400 TV episodes and movies, and 26 theatrical features.
Phillips has also acted as A&R (record producer) for Colpix Records,
Capitol Records, and Epic Records from 1960 through 1968. He produced and
arranged three number one gold records: Blue Moon, Goodbye Cruel
World, and Johnny Angel. He was also arranger, producer, conductor
of The Hollywood Strings series of albums, six of which were Top
Ten. Phillips has been nominated for three Grammy Awards for his work.
Phillips is credited with a number of theme songs for various TV shows
and films including From Here To Eternity pilot, Switch,
Quincy, Hardy Boys/Nancy Drew, Battlestar Galactica,
Spiderman, Knightrider, and The Highway Man. In addition
to the theme songs, Phillips has also composed musical numbers for Chicago
Story, The Fall Guy, Sheriff Lobo, B.J. and the Bear,
McCloud, The Six Million Dollar Man, The Monkees,
and The Donna Reed Show.
