Kim O'Rourke has been teaching acting for 30 years in high school, community colleges, and universities in California. She is a graduate of the Pasadena Playhouse with a BA in Acting; Scripps College in Claremont, CA. with a BA in Dramatic Literature; and an MA in Theatre History and Literature from California State University in Fullerton, CA. Kim has also done graduate studies in Theatre History at the University of Southern California and has a certificate in classical Theatre and a teaching licentiate from the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA). She is the American representative for LAMDA and the LAMDA examinations program. She received the Hall of Fame Award from the California Thespian
Society in 2000, the Hall of Fame Award from the Educational Theatre Association in 2001, and the Teacher of the Year Award from the California Educational Theatre Association in 2002. Kim is an actor as well as a teacher.
