Recently described by the RI Journal as "impressive. . . a rich, focused baritone". James Taylor, is widely recognized for his dramatic portrayals & ringing voice, has performed a variety of operatic roles, including Figaro in The Barber of Seville, Dandini in La Cenerentola, Marcello in La Boheme, and Silvio in I Pagliacci. He has appeared as a soloist in such works as Carmina Burana, Beethovens Ninth Symphony, and Bachs Weinachts Oratorium. James has performed with the New York City Opera National Company, the Opera Company of El Paso, and with the Alabama Symphony. Currently, James is director of opera & assistant professor of voice at the University of Alabama.
