Miss Iowa 1999, Jennifer recently graduated with honors from Princeton
with a major in anthropology. She was also awarded a Certificate in Musical
Performance while fulfilling requirements for med school. From Davenport,
Iowa, Jennifer studied piano at age 6, cello at 9, french horn at 12, and
at 16 was selected to attend prestigious Walnut Hill School for the Performing
Arts in Natick, Massachusetts, where she focused on cello, then studied
at the New England Conservatory of Music. She performed as a cello soloist
and in ensembles at Princeton, both in the U.S. and Europe. Academic studies
in anthropology resulted in a thesis on African art. And she's headed for
medical school.
