Nina Givan

Beginning her work with individuals with disabilities in 1988 as an Aquatics Instructor and Special Olympics Coach at Handicap Village in Clear Lake, Iowa, Nina has a long list of experience working with children and persons with special needs. She has been an arts instructor of puppet workshops at the MacNider Museum in Mason City, an acting teacher and puppeteer for Strebbens Children's Theater and was awarded the Emma Louise Warfield Scholarship by the Puppeteers of America. Nina organized and directed a special performance of The Nutcracker Ballet with Puppets for Iowa Governor Branstad. She is currently the program Director for Puppets for Prevention for the American Cancer Society, Iowa chapter.
