Dottie is an Iowa artist who has lived in the local area for the past 12 years, participating in exhibitions and competitions throughout Nebraska and Iowa. She is an active member of Associated Artist's of Omaha, the Artists Cooperative Gallery in Omaha's Old Market area, and the Women's Caucus for the Arts. Since retiring as a secretary for the Department of Pastoral Services at Methodist Hospital, she has directed her energy to painting, papermaking and mask-making. Dottie believes mask-making is a wonderful venue for all ages to explore their creative nature in a nonthreatening manner because you don't need to be an artist to create a mask.
