As part of its annual tradition,
The Herbert Hoover Presidential Library and Museum
presented its seasonal holiday exhibit titled Christmas Memories:
It's a Wonderful Life! from November 17, 2007 through
January 2, 2008.
The display featured over 20 decorated trees that reflected
different elements of the flim. One tree was covered in
trading card and collectible paraphernalia from the film.
Another featured the theme of "World Travel," something
George Bailey dreamed of accomplishing.
Among the many images and artifacts, visitors were treated to views of
correspondence between Donna
Reed and Violet Lindsay, her life-long pen pal, and the
invitation that Frank Capra sent to Donna for the
movie's first screening.
