Born and raised in Iowa, Amy's dance training began with Mary Joyce
Lind. At age 13, she enrolled at the School of the Arts in North Carolina.
She auditioned for Michael Baryshnikov and at the age of 17 was accepted
into the American Ballet Theater, where she spent the next 10 years dancing
and touring with the company. Having worked with a multitude of world
famous teachers and choreographers, Amy brings a wide vista of the dance
world with her into the classroom.
