Versatile in both popular and classical dance, Kris has taught everything from ballet to hip hop for fifteen years. She has danced with the Des Moines Civic Ballet and the Iowa Dance Theatre, was production manager and choreographer for the latter and is currently a board member, as well as running her own Studio in Corydon, Iowa. Kris has studied dance with Mary Helen Mayfield of Greensborough Ballet of North Carolina and with several teachers in New York City. In addition to dancing and teaching ballet, she is also adept in tap, free-style ballet, jazz, modern, acrobatics, modern drill, baton, and a variety of ballroom dances including the popular hip hop, country, and swing.
